East Coast Rewards

As an East Coast Rewards member, you can enjoy a range of rewards and benefits which has been especially designed to help you get the most out of travelling with us.

We're adding new rewards and benefits all the time and we've now introduced a free Standard Class ticket option. There is also an improved method of booking your free tickets - once you have redeemed in your Rewards account, the free ticket now appears immediately in our booking engine so all you have to do is enter your journey details and as long as there is availability for all passengers on the journey you have requested, your free ticket will appear. Please note that this new method does not apply to tickets which were redeemed before 9 January 2012 and these will continue to appear on our homepage when you are signed in, as before.

eVouchers

From just 100 Points, and in any denomination, you can use your Points for an eVoucher to put towards another rail journey with any train company. The value of your eVoucher will depend on the number of Points you wish to use. So when you’re ready, sign into your East Coast Rewards page, choose how many Points you’d like to use and your eVoucher will be ready for use within 24 hours.

Free East Coast Standard Class return tickets

You can redeem just 500 Points for a free East Coast Standard Class return ticket for one and for just 900 Points for a free East Coast Standard Class return ticket for two. Redeeming is easy, simply log in to your Rewards account, select one of the Standard ticket rewards and redeem. Your tickets will be available to book immediately, subject to availability. When you enter a journey search in our booking engine, as long as there is availability for all passengers on the journey you have requested, your free ticket will appear. Remember, you will need to book your tickets at least seven days in advance of travel and tickets are usually available as far as 12 weeks ahead. Your tickets are only valid on the booked train and no changes or refunds are allowed. We reserve the right to suspend availability during key periods such as Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympic Games. Please note: there will be no availability for travel 1-6 June and 26 July-13 August 2012.

Free East Coast First Class return tickets

As well as free Standard Class return tickets, you can also choose to redeem a free East Coast First Class return ticket for one person for 900 Points, or 1400 Points for a ticket for two people. To use your Points, simply log in to your East Coast Rewards account and choose how many tickets you want to redeem. For tickets which were redeemed before 9 January 2012, your tickets will be ready for booking within 3 working days and for free tickets redeemed from 9 January onwards, these will be available to book immediately, subject to availability. When you enter a journey search in our booking engine, as long as there is availability for all passengers on the journey you have requested, your free ticket will appear. Remember, you will need to book your tickets at least seven days in advance of travel and tickets are usually available as far as 12 weeks ahead. Free East Coast Wi-Fi

To enjoy Free East Coast Wi-Fi in Standard accommodation on East Coast trains, you only need 50 Points. That will give you 24 consecutive hours of access to our on-board service – perfect for a day’s business travel. All you need to do is sign into your East Coast Rewards page, choose on-board East Coast Wi-Fi and enter your Points. You’ll then be emailed a voucher code which lets you connect for Free to our on-board East Coast Wi-Fi when you’re travelling. Of course, we’ll tell you all the nitty-gritty details about how to connect to East Coast Wi-Fi when you use your Points.

One day, three, six and 12 month East Coast First Class Lounge Passes

Normally only available to East Coast First Class passengers, we are delighted to tell you that as a Rewards member, from just 50 Rewards Points, you too can enjoy the First Class treatment, on any ticket, travelling with any train operating company, not just East Coast! Our First Class lounge Passes entitles the holder to unlimited access at any East Coast First Class lounge within our stations, for either one day, three months, six months or even 12 months. Our First Class Lounges are located in the following East Coast Stations - London King's Cross, Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh Waverley, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Darlington, Wakefield Westgate and Doncaster.
