Amended service between Welwyn Garden City / Hitchin and Peterborough from 20:00 on Saturday 31 January until 12:00 on Sunday 1 February 2015

Engineering work is taking place between Sandy and Peterborough from approximately 20:00 on Saturday until approximately 12:30 on Sunday closing all lines.

East Coast  

Trains will be diverted between Stevenage and Peterborough extending journey times by approximately 75 minutes.

On Saturday night, the last services north-bound from London Kings Cross will be the 19:48 to Newcastle and the 20:48 to Leeds.  

First Hull Trains 

18:30 (Saturday) Hull to London Kings Cross will start at 18:00 and run earlier throughout.

19:48 (Saturday) London Kings Cross to Hull will start at 19:05 and run earlier throughout.

09:05 (Sunday) Hull to London Kings Cross and 10:48 (Sunday) London Kings Cross to Hull will not run.

Grand Central

On Saturday, the 17:29 Sunderland to London Kings Cross service will not run.

On Saturday, the 17:29 Sunderland to London Kings Cross service will not run.

On Sunday, the 07:58 Bradford Interchange to London Kings Cross service will be diverted via an alternative route and terminate at London Kings Cross approximately 60 minutes later than normal and the 11:50 London Kings Cross to Bradford Interchange service will be retimed to depart London Kings Cross at the later time of 12:40.

The 09:48 London Kings Cross to Sunderland service will not run.

Great Northern

On Saturday from 20:00 until approximately 23:00, a reduced service of one train per hour will operate between London Kings Cross and St Neots. Buses will replace trains between St Neots and Peterborough. The last direct service from London Kings Cross to St Neots will be the 22:22 service. Other London to Peterborough services will be diverted to run to / from Letchworth Garden City. From approximately 23:00, all trains between London Kings Cross and Peterborough will be diverted to run to / from Letchworth Garden City. Replacement buses will run between Hitchin and Peterborough, calling at intermediate stations.

The 00:53 (Sunday morning) London Kings Cross to Peterborough service will be replaced by a bus between Welwyn Garden City and Peterborough and the 00:56 (Sunday morning) London Kings Cross to Letchworth Garden City (via Hertford North) service will be replaced by a bus between Hertford North and Letchworth Garden City.

On Sunday until approximately 08:15, trains between London Kings Cross and Cambridge will be replaced by buses between Welwyn Garden City and Letchworth Garden City, trains between London Kings Cross and Stevenage (via Hertford North) will be replaced by buses between Hertford North and Stevenage and trains between London Kings Cross and Peterborough will be replaced by buses between Welwyn Garden City and Peterborough.

On Sunday from approximately 08:15 until 12:30, trains between London Kings Cross and Peterborough will be diverted to run to / from Letchworth Garden City. Replacement buses will run between Hitchin and Peterborough.

On Sunday until approximately 08:45, trains will not run between London Kings Cross and Finsbury Park. Valid tickets will be accepted on the London Underground to / from London Kings Cross. Outside  London Underground hours of opening, replacement buses will operate between London Kings Cross and Finsbury Park.

Buses replace trains between Leeds and Harrogate.

East Coast services to / from Harrogate will start and terminate at Leeds, passengers are advised to use Northern Rail replacement buses between Leeds and Harrogate.

Amended service between London Kings Cross and Finsbury Park from 08:45 on Sunday 1 February 2015

Engineering work is taking place between London Kings Cross and Finsbury Park after 08:45 with various line closures.

East Coast services will be reduced in frequency to three trains per hour to and from London Kings Cross with other services being either cancelled or starting / terminating at Peterborough, Newark North Gate, Doncaster or York.

On the Peterborough route, the Great Northern 17:10, 18:10 and 18:40 London Kings Cross to Peterborough services will start from Finsbury Park. Passengers are advised to travel earlier on other Great Northern services from London Kings Cross and change at Finsbury Park.  

On the Welwyn route from approximately 10:00 until 22:00, London Kings Cross to Welwyn Garden City services will not run between London Kings Cross and Finsbury Park. Passengers are advised to use other Great Northern services to and from London Kings Cross.

Buses replace trains between Dundee and Aberdeen from 22:25 on Saturday 31 January and Sunday 1 February 2015

Engineering work is taking place between Dundee and Aberdeen from 22:25 on Saturday, all day on Sunday and until 05:30 on Monday morning.

Buses replace trains between Dundee and Aberdeen.

On Monday morning, the ScotRail 05:39 Dundee to Inverness service starts from Stonehaven at 06:50. A replacement bus will run from Dundee to Stonehaven departing earlier to connect into the train. The 06:03 Carnoustie to Dundee service will be replaced by a bus throughout.
