Get onboard for the latest rail travel departures

The East Coast Live Train Times Gadget is what’s known as a ‘Vista Sidebar Gadget.’ In other words, a mini application that runs on a PC that has either Windows Vista or Windows 7 installed. You simply download it to your computer for free (here), follow the installation instructions, then get live rail travel departure information for East Coast and beyond (in conjunction with National Rail Enquiries) – direct to your desktop.

Because you can customise your exact travel requirements, the information you receive can be targeted for specific routes you are interested in. Best of all, using the Vista Sidebar Gadget is easy.

1. Select your departure station(s)

2. Select your destination station(s)

3. Select the number of train services to display

4. Select an option from the ‘show me trains leaving in X minutes from now’ menu

5. Click ‘OK’

So remember – before you go to the station, go to your desktop, for the latest live train times.
