Weekend Upgrades

Standard Class passengers can now travel in extra comfort at a new low price on East Coast services on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, by upgrading to First Class accommodation on payment of the relevant supplement. The new First Class offer includes the benefits of more comfortable and spacious accommodation, free Wi-Fi, a recently introduced Quiet Coach, and of course the new at-seat complimentary food and drinks service.
The current supplements are between and vice-versa:
London or Stevenage and destinations Doncaster, Selby, Brough, Hull and all stations south of York and Wakefield just £15 per single journey.
London or Stevenage and destinations all stations including and north of York and Wakefield just £25 per single journey.
Those whose journeys are wholly between Peterborough and any station to the north – including York, Leeds, Darlington, Newcastle and all East Coast destinations in Scotland for just £15.
Supplements are valid until further notice.
Valid Standard tickets include Advance, Super Off-Peak, Off-Peak and Anytime tickets, Rail Rovers, and BritRail tickets. You must purchase a supplement on the train (for that train only) subject to available space in First Class. Please note that Weekend First cannot be booked in advance. Weekend First is only available on East Coast services
