Recent storms in the South West have caused damage to parts of the track at Dawlish (between Exeter St Davids and Newton Abbot). Rail replacement bus services will run where trains are unable to be used.
Due to this current disruption, special ticketing arrangements have been introduced. CrossCountry Advance tickets to or from Exeter will be valid for travel to or from any station west of Exeter for no additional cost. If you are travelling to or from stations west of Exeter to or from other locations on the CrossCountry network, you only need to purchase a CrossCountry Advance ticket to or from Exeter St Davids. Journeys wholly west of Exeter (e.g. Penzance to Plymouth) are not covered by this arrangement and you will need to purchase a ticket as normal as rail services will be operating.
These changes are reflected in the timetables when planning your journey or booking your ticket using the online booking engine
