International Bomber Command Centre

The International Bomber Command Centre (IBCC) includes three interactive exhibition galleries and a range of events offering a hands-on approach to learn about the history of Bomber Command and it’s role in WWII.

Lincoln Castle

Cost: Adult tickets start at £16.00, children under 5 enter for free

Location: Lincoln Castle, Castle Square, Lincoln LN1 3AA

Home to an original 1215 Magna Carta, Lincoln Castle is at the top of Steep Hill and is a popular attraction. The castle is filled with local history and visitors can see the old courtrooms and prison cells. The shop stocks local produce and historical souvenirs.

Lincoln Arboretum

Location: 16 Lindum Terrace, Lincoln LN2 5RT

This Grade II listed park is the perfect place for a picnic and some fresh air, and it has a play park for the kids. Be sure to keep an eye on its event calendar available on the Lincoln Council website.

Lincoln Cathedral

First built in 1072, Lincoln Cathedral is one of Europe’s finest Gothic buildings. There is something for everyone to see at Lincoln Cathedral and children love seeking out the funny carvings - in particular the famous Lincoln Imp!

 

Hartsholme Country Park

Covering more than 200 acres, Hartsholme Country Park is a stunning open space to the south of the city. Visitors can enjoy walks through the ornamental grounds, alongside lots of wildlife watching.

 

Lincoln Guildhall

An early 16th-century town building which forms an archway over the main High Street. Home to City Council meetings and the heritage of Lincoln's local politics.
