Saturday to Wednesday

No trains run between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh.

Customers may use ScotRail services between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street.

East Coast

The following changes apply:

• On Saturday and Monday to Thursday, the 06:50 Glasgow Central to London Kings Cross train will start from Edinburgh departing at 08:00.
• On Sunday, the 16:30 London Kings Cross to Edinburgh train will terminate at Edinburgh.
• From Monday to Wednesday, the 15:30 London Kings Cross to Glasgow Central will terminate at Edinburgh.
• Buses will run between Glasgow, Motherwell and Edinburgh

Customers may use ScotRail services between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street.

First TransPennine Express

Until 13:00 Monday 

Some trains between Manchester Airport and Newcastle are extended to and from Edinburgh.

From 13:00 Monday to Wednesday

• Trains to and from Edinburgh are diverted with extended journey times of up to 50 minutes
• Some trains will not run the full route between Manchester Airport and Edinburgh  

ScotRail

Saturday to Wednesday

The following alterations will apply:

• Trains between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh, via Shotts, are replaced by buses throughout but will not call at Kirknewton. A mini bus service will run between Curriehill and Kirknewton to connect with these buses
• Trains between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh, via Carstairs, are replaced by bus between Carstairs and Edinburgh

 

Virgin Trains

The following alterations will apply on Saturday, Sunday and until 13:00 on Monday:

• Buses replace trains between Preston, Lancaster and Oxenholme
• Trains to and from Glasgow Central will run between Oxenholme and Glasgow only.
• Trains to and from Edinburgh will run between Carlisle and Edinburgh only
