Make sure you receive our emails
To ensure you receive East Coast email updates you may need to adjust the settings on your inbox, as some accounts automatically block messages from unknown senders. If you are using a web-based email service (such as those below), please follow these hints for adding us to your safe senders list.
Gmail accounts have a spam box. If your East Coast emails are going into there, simply tick the box next to the email, select ‘Not spam’ and the page will refresh with a note to inform you that the email has been moved to your inbox and the sender marked as safe. (Future emails from East Coast will now automatically go into your inbox).
The easiest way to ensure our emails reach your inbox is to add East Coast to your address book – simply open an email from East Coast and click on ‘add to address book’ next to the sender’s name. This will ensure that even if your spam guard is switched on, East Coast emails will still be recognised as safe and reach your inbox.
Once you have logged into your Hotmail account, select ‘Options’ from the top menu. Here there is an option called ‘Junk email protection’ – click on this. If your junk email filter is set to low or enhanced, our emails should still reach your inbox; however if it is set to exclusive, they will be sent to your Junk mail folder. Open this folder, select the email and you will see a message saying ‘Hotmail has identified the mail as junk. Please tell us if we were right or wrong by clicking Junk or Not junk’. Select the ‘Not junk’ button and our email address will be added to your safe list.
