Miniature Prices launch
Miniature Prices is back: bigger and better than before, and with even more characters!
From 15 February 2010, our well known Miniature Prices campaign will be relaunched to promote a range of destinations along the East Coast route, introducing even more exciting characters to give customers more engaging reasons to travel.
Joining the famous Bagpiper, Vikings and Angel of the North sightseer are a selection of mummies, fun runners, families and even a miniature Marilyn Monroe and Johnny Wilkinson to inspire trips to Madame Tussauds London and the Rugby among countless other exciting destinations.
The campaign will feature nationwide across TV, press, online and outdoor in bus shelters, on bus sides and within the London Underground. With more than 18 million customers each year travelling on East Coast trains, we have gone far and wide to reach them all.
We have once again teamed up with the talented and multi-award winning animator Darren Walsh (Sony Bravia ‘Play-Doh rabbits’ adverts) to ensure the campaign is just as exciting as when it started.
Popular TV star Bernard Cribbins, who has featured in the last series of ‘Doctor Who’ also once again joins us as the voice behind the TV adverts.
More than 800,000 of our lowest priced fares are being made available during the campaign. These include London to Leeds or York from £10, Newcastle from £12 and Edinburgh from £13.
In the words of East Coast’s Commercial Director Peter Williams, ‘The new Miniature Prices campaign takes as its inspiration the great value advance fares available on our trains – and the exciting choice of low-cost or free visitor attractions on our route’.
A big effort to promote such miniature fares!
